First 5 Alameda County supports a comprehensive system of early childhood care to help prepare kids for success in school and reach their full potential. This system includes early care and education, developmental screening, mental health services, early intervention, nutrition and feeding guidance, and parenting skills to create a solid foundation for the years that follow.

Training at First 5

Training at First 5 offers a variety of community based training and peer networking and support opportunities. Providers from all disciplines who serve children ages 0-5 and their families in Alameda County are welcome to attend training and networking opportunities at First 5. Continuing Education Units are provided free of charge to registered nurses, licensed clinical social workers and marriage and family therapists at all qualified trainings.
